Author Biography

Samirah Hood is a first grade teacher at Cary Elementary. She has been teaching first grade for two years and was previously teaching pre-k.  She is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia with a BA in Education. Recently Samirah received a master’s degree from Norfolk State University in Community Counseling. She loves writing children’s stories, spending time with family and reading poetry.
